.NAME Domain Name Registrations

Started in 2001, the Dot NAME domain extension is the sole TLD supposed to be for personal sites only. These domains can consist of personal or fictitious names, aliases and/or other titles people are famous by. At first, solely 3rd-level registrations were permitted, so if you wanted to order john.doe.name, you were required to do that under .doe.name. In 2004, however, the registration process was loosened and second-level registrations were also permitted. Already bought 3rd-level domain names remained functional.

Through our firm, you can order your .NAME domain for an interval between 1 and 10 years. You will have the chance to correct the WHOIS contact information, to park your domain, to modify Custom DNS records, etc. You can also move over an active domain to our firm if you acquire its EPP transfer code from the present domain registrar and we will renew it once the transfer has been finished. There are no particular prerequisites on who can secure a dot NAME domain, but in order to preserve the idea behind its creation alive, the dot NAME Registry may verify who the Registrant is and if there is no relation between the owner and the actual domain, the registration might be challenged.
